Limitless Homecare began with something very personal, a desire to find the quality of care we wanted for our own family.
My career in care began in 1993, working within social care before progressing into senior roles and later moving into the NHS. I spent almost 20 years working in nursing and midwifery, eventually becoming a Senior Sister and NMC teacher, supporting the training and development of nurses and midwives.
Then our family needed care.
My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and my mother-in-law with Parkinson's disease. As their needs increased, we began looking for professional care and support. Despite my extensive experience within health and social care, I found that the service available to our family wasn't the level of care I believed they deserved.
I wanted something different. I wanted care that was personal, compassionate and respectful. Care that recognised the individual behind the condition. Care that I could trust enough to provide for my own family.
When I was told that the only way to achieve the level of care I was looking for might be to start my own care company, I decided to take that leap. And so, Limitless Homecare was born.
We started with just two members of staff and myself. As word spread, other families began asking us to support their loved ones, and our small company began to grow.
Eventually, I made the difficult decision to leave my much-loved career in the NHS and dedicate myself fully to Limitless Homecare. Although my role had changed, my purpose had not, I was still doing what I had always loved: caring for people, supporting families and making a difference.
Today, Limitless Homecare continues to be guided by the same principle that started it all: we provide the care we would want for our own families. Because behind every care package is a person, a family and a story. And every person deserves to be treated with dignity, kindness and respect.
